Wehrenberg Theatres "Family Summer Series" $1 admissions – Wednesday & Thursdays 10 am


Wehrenberg Theatres will once again host its popular Family Summer Series 2014 for parents looking for affordable family entertainment while the kids are out of school. Tickets to the movies are just $1 per admission! Family Summer Series features a different 2nd-run family film each week for ten weeks beginning Wednesday, June 4. The series concludes Thursday, August 7.

Showtimes are 10 AM every Wednesday and Thursday during the ten weeks of the series

. The same ten films will play at all St. Louis-area theatres, but not with the same weekly schedule at every location. Families can visit nearby theatres to see a favorite film more than once, or to see one they missed earlier in the series.

Specific theatre schedules are available at and your local theatre. The line-up features movies released in 2013 and 2014 including some which haven’t debuted yet! The full list of movies playing during Family Summer Series 2014 is:

Some of the top-grossing, and critically-acclamed, family films are included in Wehrenberg’s Family Summer Series 2014. Among them are Oscar nominees The Croods and Despicable Me 2! The blockbuster The Lego Movie is sure to be a popular entry, too, along with Rio 2 which isn’t scheduled for release until mid April. Rio 2 also features a G-rating, making it an obvious choice for families with young children.

Indeed, the whole series is a great opportunity for parents and grandparents to get out of the house for some entertaining “family time.”

The popular “Kid Combos” with popcorn and soft drink will be available for just $5.

Seats for the Family Summer Series are first-come, first-served though tickets can be purchased in advance at At $1 each, seats are expected to go quickly so buying in advance is encouraged, though not required. Guests should arrive as early as possible to get best seating.

Family Summer Series 2014 marks the 19th consecutive year Wehrenberg Theatres has hosted the family-oriented event.
