Circa Properties is excited to announce the launch of its Summer Smiles Toy Drive, a month-long Art of Heart event benefiting Friends of Kids with Cancer.
Between August 1 and September 7, agents, clients and friends of Circa are invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys at collection bins located within the Clayton, Webster Groves and Tower Grove offices. Online donations can also be made via the Circa registry at Target.com.
Circa – Webster 601 E Lockwood Ave, St. Louis, MO 63119
Circa – Tower Grove South 3353 Roger Place, St Louis MO 63116
Circa – Clayton 7801 Forsyth Blvd #200, Clayton, MO 63105
As part of the recreational branch of FOK’s mission, stocked toy closets and chests are kept at St. Louis area treatment centers. During scary and often painful treatments, young patients are rewarded with a toy of their choice from the closet. Keeping these closets full is a donation-based effort that goes a long way in helping children to remain positive during a scary and emotional time.
According to FOK’s Volunteer Coordinator Jamie Ebel, Legos and Pay-Doh sets remain the most popular items in the closet. Baby dolls of all races are also a big hit. For older patients, Target gift cards in $10 increments are encouraged, allowing he or she to pick out their own reward.
“Friends of Kids with Cancer is a local organization that we’ve really come to love and respect,” said Managing Broker Seth Reeder. “We’re hoping this event can help shine a light on the organization’s mission and, of course, put a few smiles on the faces of children who are courageously battling these life-threatening illnesses.”
The Summer Smiles Toy Drive will culminate on the evening of the Clayton Art Fair, Friday, September 7th. Event visitors are encouraged to stop by the Circa tent located at 7801 Forsyth Blvd to drop off donations on their way into the Fair.
About Friends of Kids with Cancer: Focusing on the educational, emotional and recreational aspects of a child’s well-being, Friends of Kids with Cancer was founded in 1992 with the intention of “letting kids with cancer…be kids!”
About The Art of Heart Program: At Circa, we firmly believe in the Art of Partnership. The notion that by working together, we can make Saint Louis even better than it already is (we think it’s already pretty awesome!). In 2018, we launched The Art of Heart, a charitable branch that would allow us to partner with – and feature – local charities that are doing amazing work in our community.
