ST. LOUIS PUBLIC LIBRARY'S 2015 NOT SO QUIET! CONCERT SERIES – multiple dates
The St. Louis Public Library is proud to announce the new season of its popular NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series. Now in its eighth season, 2015 boasts new faces, crowd favorites, and a new summer format.
All concerts are held on the third Thursday of each month at Central Library, 1301 Olive St., at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Shows are FREE and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served.
For 2015, NOT SO QUIET! offers a new format from June through September .LIVE On Olive! takes place outdoors on Central’s front steps*, where concertgoers can spend warm summer evenings enjoying great music played against one the city’s most spectacular backdrops. They can bring their lawn chairs, blankets, picnic dinners, or just relax on the steps or in the grass. (*Events will move indoors to the Auditorium in case of inclement weather.)

American Idiot: A Tribute to Green Day [www.kerrang.com]. Whether you’re a Green Day fanatic or a casual fan, American Idiot will have you jumping, singing, and fist-pumping to favorites spanning Green Day’s incredible career. We hope you’ll have the time of your life.
· August 20
For nearly 40 years, Jake’s Leg [www.jakesleg.com] has been more than a tribute band. They interpret The Grateful Dead’s iconic sound with their own musical and emotional identity, while upholding the integrity of one of the world’s greatest touring bands.
· September 17
Steve Ewing is best known as the voice behind the alt-rock band The Urge, whose mix of punk, reggae, hip hop, and ska created a sonic shockwave. The Steve Ewing Band [steveewingmusic.com] pumps out Urge favorites, classic covers, and music from Ewing’s solo albums.
Autumn Concerts

· October 15
AZ/DZ [www.azdzstl.com] is an amazing tribute to not only one of the heavy metal’s most influential bands, but to one of the greatest rock albums of the 20th century, Highway to Hell. AZ/DZ plays the entire album, in order.
· November 19
Bruiser Queen [bruiserqueenmusic.blogspot.com]. Original, spontaneous, and electric, no two BQ shows are the same. Their reckless sound provides an addictive adrenaline rush that few live bands can bring anytime—anywhere.
· December 17
HARMONEE! Merry X-Mas Show. This soul-stirring vocal group lowers the curtain on the 2015 NOT SO QUIET! Concert Series season and rings in the holidays with traditional Gospel and soul-inspired songs. Their voices blend together to warm the spirit and soothe the soul.
MAKE AN EVENING OF IT! Before the concert, stop by Urban Eats Café Central in the Atrium until 7 p.m.to enjoy mouthwatering food and drinks with an ethnic twist. It’s the perfect way to satisfy an early evening appetite and get in the mood for tasty tunes!
