Treasures Between the Covers (Carondelet)
10:00AM – 11:00AM Make a jewelry box using a book cover and a box to keep your “treasures” safe. Please call 752-9224 to reserve your seat.
Celebrate National Grilling Month (Baden)
11:00AM – 12:00PM Preparation, equipment and supplies are the keys to successful grilling. Resident grill master and frequent BBQ competitor Nathaniel Hilliard will discuss marinades, rubs, sauces, charcoal and woods. First 10 attendees will receive a grilling rub to take home.
ESL Practice (Schlafly)
1:00PM – 2:00PM English as a Second Language conversation practice. New members welcome!
Star Spangled Celebration (Carondelet)
2:00PM – 4:00PM Show off your patriotic spirit with family photos with Uncle Sam, a Stars and Stripes windsock craft, and bring your bike, trike, or wagon to decorate for our round-the-block parade. Hear the National Anthem sung by a local celebrity. Costumes welcome!
Walnut Park Community Garden Club (Walnut Park)
2:00PM – 3:30PM Visit with neighbors and maintain your community garden.
Ancient African History Scholars Group (Julia Davis)
4:00PM – 5:30PM Connect African American history with Ancient African history on the first Saturday of each month. Historian and Innovator of the 31 Dynasties of Egyptian history, Norman Ross and other St. Louis area African scholars will contribute to monthly presentations. Enjoy free workshops, guest speakers, and media presentations that bring Ancient African history to life. The group will host an Annual Ancient African History Symposium in the fall of each year.
