October 6, 2012 – 11am to 4pm
at Lindenwood Park, corner Jamieson and Pernod
Would you like to be a volunteer at LinFest? We could always use extra hands! We need people to help with the set-up, clean up, manning the kids bouncy castle and manning the Lindenwood Park Neighborhood Association booth. If you’re available and would like to get involved, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for info.
Please be sure to join us at LinFest on October 6th from 11am to 4pm and support these local businesses. There will be plenty to eat and drink, entertainment, fun things for the children and lots of people to meet. The Roadhouse Band will be performing and Leaping Lizards Performing Arts Studio too, so come and support them and enjoy a fun day in the park!
“Tethered”, choreographed and performed by Mary Ann Rund, is the second dance in a series of environmental works. Each dance acknowledges the natural elements of the park as partners in the dance as well as consummate setting. This piece honors the arborial, as that which graces our world with sculpture, color, shelter, fresh oxygen, and serves as symbol of rootedness, upward reaching, and witness of all that takes place in its scope. Mary Ann Rund is a dance/somatics educator and movement artist residing in the Lindenwood neighborhood. Be sure not to miss it at LinFest on October 6th!
There will also be attendance prizes to be won and raffles available. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome at LinFest.
Many thanks to our sponsors and vendors who have already registered for LinFest 2012.
