Here’s how it works:  Chefs arrive at the Market Culinary Tent. The “Secret Ingredient” is revealed! Chefs shop at market for ingredients and then create their dishes. Students from Culinary Institute of St. Louis at Hickey College will act as Sous Chefs. Market Patrons watch the Chefs create, sample the dishes, and then choose their favorites with “Voting Noodles.” Raffle chances for Restaurant Gift Certificates’ available too!

One chef each month is crowned the winner at that market’s cook-off. The winner of each monthly cook-off competes in the Grand Finale on Saturday, October 8 at the Midtown Farmers Market in University City.

The purpose of this fun, engaging series is to celebrate and bring awareness to the relationship between our regional farms; fresh foods and local products; talented chefs and their restaurants; and of course, some of our region’s best Farmers Markets.
