The South Grand Business District is excited to announce our first annual Fall Festival Saturday, September 20, 2014.
The event is to celebrate what makes South Grand and its surrounding community unique, which will incorporate local artists and musicians, dancers, local farmers, home brewers and, most of all, great restaurants, services and shops.
With the addition of this event, the district will also be moving the annual International Dine Around: A Taste of South Grand to Thursday, Sept. 18 (the Thursday before the event) and Friday, Sept. 19 will be the district’s last movie night of the season, hosted in South Grand’s Ritz Park.
The vendors at the event will include local farmers, vintage, home brewers, handmade items along with a DIY Craft Zone put on by the Contemporary Art Museum and Craft Alliance. The event runs from 10AM to 4PM with participation from the vendors. Entertainment in Ritz Park continues until 10PM and includes yoga, dancers, and performances by local schools, a food demonstration, Stray Dog Theatre performance and six local bands along with street performers. Lastly, specials, discounts, demonstrations and entertainment at the businesses along South Grand Blvd. will go until 10PM.
