PETSMART WIENER DOG DERBY – Sunday Feb 23, 2014 2:00 pm start – Soulard Market Plaza
What is it?
The longest-running Dachshund Derby in America is back for its 18th year. Enjoy the Sport of Weenies as wiener dogs compete in three aged-based categories: Cocktail Weenies, Ballpark Franks, and Hot Dogs, for the title of fastet Weenie! The races take place over a series of elimination heats until we have the Dash of Champions in each age category.
What can I do?
If you own a Dachshund enter your beloved pet in the respective age category and watch ‘em run. If you don’t own a Dachshund but love a great race, come and watch America’s Fastest 30 Seconds from the bleachers or sidelines!
How much does it cost?
$10 to register your Dachshund and Free to watch!
To register your Dachshund for this event on FEB. 23rd, please come to Soulard Market Plaza at 8th and Lafayette no later than 12:00pm on Sunday Feb. 23rd.
Where do I park?
Anywhere legal in and around the Soulard area.
How long does it last?
The races are usually finished 5:00pm

Register online or at the park starting at 10am on Sunday, February 3rd. The first heat takes place at 2:00p.m.
The dachshunds race in three divisions based on age: Cocktail Wienies, Ballpark Franks, and Hot Dogs. The finals are followed by the trophy presentation ceremony in the Wiener’s Circle.
Registration fee is $10 and must be paid at the Park the morning of the races. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Dachshund Rescue Foundation.
