Earth Day at the St Louis Zoo Sunday 4/27/14 11 am – 3 pm – Forest Park

Earth Day: Party for the Planet

Sunday, April 27, 2014
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy live entertainment, fun education, activities, keeper chats and more. Pick up a map of events—the 2014 Earth Day Event Passport—at either Zoo entrance, and head for Earth Day stations around the Zoo. Participants will visit the event stations, complete an activity or craft and receive a stamp to solve a mystery word. Visitors with at least three stamps and the solution for the mystery word can bring their passports to either entrance and redeem a prize.

Keeper Chats & Enrichment Activities

  • 11 a.m. — Lions at Big Cat Country
  • 11:30 a.m. — Sea lions at Sea Lion Sound
  • 12 noon — Tree kangaroo at Children’s Zoo
  • 12:30 p.m. — Takin at Red Rocks
  • 1 p.m. — Giant tortoises in Herpetarium
  • 1:30 p.m. — Rhinoceros hornbills in Bird House
  • 2 p.m. — Gorillas at Fragile Forest
  • 2:30 p.m. — Black and white ruffed lemurs in Primate House
  • 3 p.m. — Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs at Children’s Zoo

Free Admission!

Admission to the Zoo and Earth Day activities is free. Admission to the Children’s Zoo is $4/person. Children under 2 are free. The Zoo is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

St. Louis Earth Day Festival

Since 1989, the St. Louis Earth Day Festival has celebrated the magnificence of our planet and demonstrated ways to protect our natural resources. This year’s festival takes place on April 27 at a variety of venues in Forest Park. For more information on these Earth Day activities and events, visitwww.stlouisearthday.org.
