The Blessing of animals is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all God’s creatures. We invite all the animals with their human friends to join us for a special outdoor Mass on Saturday, October 4th at 4:00 p.m. Let this joyful and beautiful ceremony remind us of the sacredness of all life.
This year we are combining this joyful celebration with an opportunity to help people make it through tough times with their best friends by their side. All our donations will be delivered to Bi-State Pet Food Pantry serving 150 families and over 500 pets in need every month. A donation box will be located in back of the church during September with final donations to be made on October 4. Items needed are: Canned dog and cat food (unopened); dry dog and cat food (opened or unopened); dog and cat treats (opened or unopened); cat litter (opened or unopened); gift cards (any amount) to PetSmart, PetCo, Target and Walmart.
